It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year!
Placer Elementary is a warm and welcoming place where families are actively involved, and our students succeed at high levels. Our campus is tucked away in a quiet corner of the town of Loomis. It is a perfect setting for children to learn and grow together.
Our dedicated staff serves approximately 540 students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Eighth Grade. We believe that the foundation of a successful school is in the relationships and cooperation we build between our students, staff, parents/guardians, and the greater community. We are proud to offer regular Spanish language, Music, Band, Art, and PE in addition to our core subjects.
When you are on campus, be on the lookout for The Miner Way: Be Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn! Through The Miner Way, we strive to create a positive, safe, and caring environment where students want to learn and have fun.
Parents/Guardians and community members are always welcome on campus. One of the best ways to support your children is to stay involved. First and foremost, be sure to stay in contact with your child’s teacher. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them with any questions or concerns. We also encourage you to become an active participant in our school through volunteering in the classroom, attending school events, & joining our Parent Teacher Club (
Placer PTC Website). We understand that it is not always possible to volunteer during the school day. Equally important is having a nightly routine of reading to your child, talking about their day, reinforcing The Miner Way, and helping children prepare for the next school day.
