It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Placer Elementary School 2018-19!
Placer Elementary is a place where students succeed at high levels and where families are involved. Our campus is tucked away in a quiet corner of the town of Loomis. It provides a perfect setting for children to grow and bloom.
Our dedicated staff serves approximately 530 students in grades Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Eighth. We believe that the foundation of a successful school is in the relationships and cooperation we build between our students, staff, parents/guardians, and community.
When you are on campus, be on the lookout for The Miner Way: Be Respectful, Responsible, and Ready! Through The Miner Way, we strive to create a positive, safe, and caring environment where students want to learn and have fun.
Parents/Guardians and community members are always welcome on campus. One of the best ways to support your children is to stay involved. First and foremost, be sure to stay in contact with your child’s teacher. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them with any questions or concerns. We also encourage you to become an active participant in our school through volunteering in the classroom, attending school events, & joining our Parent Teacher Club (PTC). We understand that it is not always possible to volunteer during the school day. Equally important is having a nightly routine of reading to your child, talking about their day, reinforcing The Miner Way and getting them prepared for the next school day.
We look forward to partnering with you to make this an exciting and successful year for our students. Thank you in advance for your support and commitment. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
