It is with great pleasure that I join you for the 2017-2018 school year.
At Placer Elementary School our dedicated staff serves approximately 525 students in grades Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Eighth. We believe that the foundation of a successful school is in the relationships and cooperation we build between our students, staff, parents/guardians, and community. We are dedicated to encouraging our students to believe in themselves and helping them become lifelong learners.
When you are on campus, be on the lookout for The Miner Way: Be Respectful, Responsible, and Ready! Through The Miner Way, we strive to create a positive, safe, and caring environment where students want to learn and have fun.
Parents/Guardians and community members are always welcome at school. One of the best ways to support your children is to stay involved. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways. First and foremost, be sure to stay in contact with your child’s teacher. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them with any questions or concerns. Additionally, we encourage you to become an active participant in our school through volunteering in the classroom, attending school events, & joining our Parent Teacher Club (PTC). We understand that it is not always possible to volunteer. Equally important is having a nightly routine of reading to your child, talking about their day, reinforcing The Miner Way, and getting them prepared for the next day.
I look forward to partnering with you to make this an exciting and successful year for our students. Thank you in advance for your support and commitment. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
